Less invasive methods in order to minimize the pain and discomfort during and after dental interventions, low-power laser is an instrument that provide these actions; which stimulate the biochemical effects, bioelectric, systemic, photochemical, biophysicists, biostimulants, interfering in the message of the sensory nerves promotes microcirculation and microestimulación at the cellular level giving an effect of analgesic, anti-inflammatory and healing. Therefore the speed of the application, the minimum restrictions on use and good results, make the laser should be considered as an important tool, not only as an adjunct to conventional therapy, but as a support to combined to other procedures provide the best results to our patients and with reduced work times.La neuralgia del trigémino, al ser un dolor repentino y severo, afecta la calidad de vida de las personas que la padecen. Existen diversas formas de tratar la neuralgia del trigémino, las más utilizadas son los fármacos y los procedimientos quirúrgicos (que pueden poner en riesgo la fisiología del paciente). Existen métodos menos invasivos con el fin de reducir al mínimo el dolor y malestar durante y después de las intervenciones odontológicas; el láser de baja potencia es un instrumento que brinda estas acciones; las cuales estimulan los efectos bioquímicos, bioeléctricos, sistémicos, fotoquímicos, biofísicos, bioestimulantes, interfiriendo en el mensaje de los nervios sensitivos, promueve la microcirculación y microestimulación a nivel celular dando un efecto analgésico, antiinflamatorio y cicatrización.
