| Sumario: | Morphological anomalies in reptiles have been associated to malnutrition, faulty incubation, environmental contamination and mutated genes. Herein, we reported three cases of morphological anomalies in two hatchlings and one stillborn of Red-eared Slider Trachemys scripta elegans in captivity. We observed bilateral cleft of upper jaw, cleft palate, hetero-omphalopagus twins in hatchlings, and a derodymus or double-headed stillborn. These observations represent the first photographic record and confirmation of this kind of anomalies in breeding farm Red-eared Slider. |
