Resumo:In the present investigation is made, at first, a review of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), mainly explores the contributions made by Farrell, Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes, and a review of some studies in this area. A second paragraph characterized the banking system in Mexico through its structure and organization. Third submitted the application of the methodology DEA to the fifth regions proposed by FIRA, looking for finding patterns of efficiency. Finally the conclusions arrived at the studio will be displayed.
