Descrição
Resumo:Naphthalene is one of the most abundant polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in aquatic ecosystems and can cause alterations in physiological systems such as the immune system of organisms exposed to this xenobiotic. The Oyster of Cortez (Crassostrea corteziensis) is a species of mollusc native to the eastern tropical Pacific, which, in addition to its ecological importance, is commercially exploited in the northwestern region of Mexico. However, since oysters are sessile organisms with a high water filtration rate, they are the target of the effect of contaminants present in water, which can affect the health of these organisms and the productivity of aquaculture.
