Descripción
Sumario:This research explores cost-effective risk mitigation strategies in the Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight services industry, a crucial component of the global logistics and supply chain network. The study delves into the common operational risks faced by LTL carriers, including delivery delays, freight damage and loss, capacity constraints, and driver shortages. By comparing the risk mitigation strategies employed by large and small companies, the research identifies practical and scalable solutions that smaller firms can adopt to enhance their operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Emphasis is placed on the role of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in managing these risks, highlighting their importance in driving strategic decisions and maintaining robust supply chain operations. The findings aim to guide smaller LTL companies in implementing effective risk management practices to remain competitive in an evolving market.
