Sumario:[EN] The aim of this paper is to analyse the fortifications built around the Alhambra and the surrounding area during the Napoleonic invasion of Spain, studying both the physical remains, and historical maps. Analyzing these two sources we can uncover what was planned by the French Army military engineers and what was really built between 1810 and 1812. The paper has been written within the framework of the Spanish Proyecto del Plan Nacional I+D+i entitled "Ciudades nazaríes: estructura urbana, sistema defensivo y suministro de agua." (HAR2011-30293).
