| Resumo: | [EN] Interlingual and intercultural comparison of legal text types offers evidence of different textual conventions that characterize national legal languages as well as revealing distinctive features of the legal cultures in which these texts are based. Therefore, contrastive text analysis can yield interesting results for translation of legal texts. The aim of this paper is to prove this hypothesis by comparing German and Spanish divorce judgments. The methodology proposed for contrastive text analysis is a multilevel model covering all textual dimensions (pragmatic, semantic and linguistic) and demonstrating their interrelation. At the same time, the different levels of the model operate as tertium comparationis in the contrastive analysis. |
