| Summary: | In this short article, we analyse an almost forgotten tomb fromthe Empúries archaeological site. In fact, a funeral monument which could have functioned as grave and altar at the same time. Known for years, and originating a local legend that gave the humble monument its name, the Pedra del Gall (literally, Rooster’s Rock) was not given any attention by those researchers who, half a century ago, studied the funerary grounds of Empúries.
