Sumario:In the Baliera river area, situated in the Axial Zone of the Central Pyrenees, the Mañanet Limestone which belongs to Sierra Negra subfacies, crops out. The paleontological contents of the limestone has allowed its datation. At the base, conodont and brachiopod remains have been found, suggesting an Emsian age for this level. According to conodonts, the upper part of the Ernsian or the Iower part of the Eifelian, has been placed at the top of the Mañanet Limestone
