| Resumo: | This study examines residential segregation and socio-spatial differentiation in 34 urban areas structured around medium-sized Spanish cities. It highlights the complexity of analyzing these urban typologies, where the apparent spatial proximity of social groups conceals significant internal differences in the processes studied. Beyond size and global structural factors, contextual elements are important to understanding segregation. Furthermore, socio-spatial differences are primarily influenced by social status, life course, and housing tenure, with the latter assuming particular importance. |
