Descripción
Sumario:The present research focuses on the study of the establishment and growth of holiday rentals within Castilla-La Mancha, as well as their geographical, temporal and social incidence, in order to assess the magnitude of the phenomenon. The general objective lies in the detailed analysis of the appearance, evolution and generalisation in Castilla-La Mancha of the new modalities of tourist accommodation, tourist flats and dwellings for tourist use over the last 25 years, considering the possible positive correlations between heritage, natural and cultural resources, and the existence of accommodation infrastructures in certain areas of the region, both urban and rural. Together with the traditional supply of accommodation in urban centres, in recent years the region has experienced a significant upward shift in different types of establishments related to the growing importance of the practice of rural and nature tourism and cultural tourism and urban centres.
