Description
Summary:This Master's thesis conducts an experimental campaign for the Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) of a simply supported 6m long aluminum beam using 4 low-cost prototypes (LARA: Low-cost Adaptable Reliable Accelerometer). The beam will be located in a backyard campus of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona. The LARA will be connected to a power supply in order to monitor the beam for a long-term. The beam will also be modeled in the SAP 2000 software, as well as checking the post synchronization application tailored for synchronizing the acquired data of LARA using their preset NTP values. Also finding the relationship between the temperature variation, eigenfrequency of the beam and the Modal Assurance Criteria (MAC) value between the modal analysis of the beam and the analytical model.
