The results indicate that LGB people value their subjective well-being, overall happiness and life satisfaction below heterosexual people. In the second qualitative study, five men with a gay identity were interviewed. The results have suggested that being gay, the process of forming a gay identity and disseminating gay identity and orientation in society, are aspects that must be taken into account as potential influencers in the field subjective well-being.El objetivo ha sido conocer el papel que tiene la orientación sexual de personas Lesbianas, Gay y Bisexuales (LGB) en su bienestar subjetivo y al mismo tiempo profundizar en cuáles son los factores que influyen en este. Esta tesis se articula alrededor de dos estudios. El primero, con metodología cuantitativa, parte de la aplicación de un cuestionario online tanto a personas LGB como heterosexuales. Los resultados indican que las personas LGB, valoran su bienestar subjetivo, su felicidad global y la satisfacción con la vida por debajo de las personas heterosexuales. En el segundo estudio de corte cualitativo se entrevistaron cinco hombres con identidad gay. Los resultados han sugerido que el hecho de ser gay, el proceso de formación de la identidad gay y la divulgación de la orientación y la identidad gay en la sociedad, son aspectos que se deben tener en cuenta como posibles influyentes en el bienestar subjetivo.Universitat de GironaGonzález Carrasco, MònicaUniversitat de Girona.
