| Sumario: | The sandstones of the Gordexola Formation were studied using petrography, cathodoluminescence, electronic microprobe, SEM, and C and O isotopic relations. A diagenetic sequence was inferred from medium to late stages. The processes that affected sandstones occurred from syntaxial siliceous cements to different carbonates that precipitated and replaced previous felsdpar grains. Temperatures of late diagenesis could oscillate from 40° to 45° C. The very late diagenesis consisted on deformation of both grains and crystals under burial conditions |
