Descrição
Resumo:In the evolving landscape of digital security, the implementation of robust Public Key Infrastructures has become a cornerstone for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of communications. This thesis presents a comprehensive case study of deploying an EJBCA based PKI within the UPC Campus Nord environment. The study delves into the strategic planning, challenges, and methodologies involved in the establishment of a secure PKI system. It highlights the critical role of EJBCA in facilitating secure digital identities and the seamless management of digital certificates. Through this implementation, the thesis demonstrates the practical applications and benefits of PKI in safeguarding digital transactions and communications within an academic institution, thereby contributing to the broader discourse on cybersecurity measures in educational settings.
