This paper presents the basic characteristics of the BDI-II in relation with its previous versions (BDI-I and BDI-IA), describes the process of its adaptation to the Spanish population, summarizes the psychometric properties of this adaptation, and discusses its use in the clinical practice. To this use, guidelines and cut-off scores are proposed for measuring the severity of depression, for evaluating the clinical significance of therapeutic change, for screening for depression, and for aiding in the differential diagnosis of depressive disorders.Consejo General de la Psicología de EspañaUniversidad Complutense de Madrid20132013-01-0120132013-01-01journal articlehttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501info:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfhttps://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14352/44986reponame:Docta Complutenseinstname:Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM)Inglésengopen accesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:docta.ucm.es:20.500.14352/449862026-06-02T12:44:21Z
