This is the first record of the species in European Atlantic waters, and extends its northern latitudinal distribution in the Atlantic Ocean. The geographical distribution of the species is discussed.[ES] Esta nota informa del hallazgo de una hembra inmadura de Ancistroteuthis linchtensteini en la costa de Galicia (NW de España). Esto representa la primera cita de esta especie en el Atlántico Noreste, lo cual amplía su rango de distribución septentrional en el Atlántico.
