| Summary: | This paper describes the administrative system of internal control and supervision of Spanish public procurement, mainly by examining the administrative units created by the Public Sector Contracts Act of 2017, and especially the Public Procurement Regulation and Supervision Office. It also refers to the external control bodies, such as the Court of Auditors, which in their turn exert economic and financial control over the contracting public sector. In addition, it addresses control and supervision functions of implementing and effectively complying with European public procurement law. These functions are the responsibility of the administrative bodies that make up the system, aimed at preventing and fighting against corruption |
