This article, which aims to compare subjective well-being and life satisfaction among native and migrant students in terms of gender and age, presents the results obtained in a study carried out in the Santiago district of the Metropolitan Region of Chile in 2018. Method: The PWI-SC5 and OLS Scales were administered to a sample of 406 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 16 years. 56.65% of the students corresponded to women and 43.35% to men. The sample consisted of 55.91% of students born in Chile and 44.09% of migrant students. Results: Although in the results of the three-factor ANOVA of the PWI-SC5 Scale, no effects of interaction between gender, age and indigenous or migrant condition were observed, differences between native and migrant students are observed in relation to material satisfaction and with the use of time. Likewise, statistically significant differences were only found in the OLS variable according to the gender of the students. Regarding the overall satisfaction with life, the results show that the age group and the condition of native or migrant are affected. In the case of native students, the areas of subjective well-being that were significant as predictors of OLS were satisfaction with relationships with people, with adult listening and with the use of time, while for the migrant students only the last two of these were significant. La importancia de investigar la migración adolescente tiene implicancias en términos de integración, adaptación y calidad de vida de los nuevos habitantes de Chile. Este artículo, que tiene como objetivo comparar el bienestar subjetivo y la satisfacción con la vida entre estudiantes autóctonos y estudiantes migrantes en términos de sexo y edad, presenta los resultados obtenidos en un estudio llevado a cabo en la comuna de Santiago de la Región Metropolitana de Chile en el año 2018. Método: Se administraron Indice de Bienestar Personal - Niños Escolares (PWI-SC5) y la escala Satisfacción global con la Vida (OLS) a una muestra de 406 adolescentes de edades comprendidas entre los 12 y 16 años. 56.65% de los estudiantes correspondió a mujeres y el 43.35% a hombres. La muestra estuvo constituida por 55.91% de estudiantes nacidos en Chile y 44.09% de estudiantes migrantes. Resultados: Si bien en los resultados del ANOVA de tres factores de la Escala PWISC5 no se observaron efectos de interacción entre sexo, edad y condición autóctona o migrante, se observan diferencias entre estudiantes autóctonos y migrantes con relación a la satisfacción material y con el uso del tiempo. Asimismo, solo se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en la variable OLS en función del sexo de los estudiantes. En el caso de los estudiantes autóctonos, los ámbitos del bienestar subjetivo que se relacionan con la OLS fueron la satisfacción con las relaciones con las personas, con la escucha por parte de los adultos y con la utilización del tiempo, mientras que para los estudiantes migrantes solo resultaron significativos los dos últimos.
