Sumario:[EN] La Tomatina, from Buñol is Spain¿s most international festival, it attracts visitors and tourists from around the world. This article analyses the origins of the festivity, in the context of the dictatorship of General Franco, as well as its evolution in the Spanish democratic government are analyzed. The goal is to understand how this festival has reached such great media coverage, due to the characteristics of the Tomatina, where the playful and hedonistic connotations are relevant.
