Resumo:In the past decade, there has been an increasing focus on the research pertaining to the usefulness of accounting information. Accounting information plays a pivotal role in the realm of economics by bridging the gap between macroeconomics and microeconomics. Existing literature aims to quantify the relationship between macroeconomic factors and micro-level firms’ accounting information, rather than solely concentrating on economic indicators. Several empirical studies have endeavored to explore this relationship in order to ascertain its relevance for decision-making usefulness of accounting information.
