| Resumo: | The research consists of a comparative study on emotional intelligence and authentic leadership in university students in Mexico, Chile and Spain. The research concludes that it is relevant to incorporate emotional intelligence in leadership education without distinction by gender or degree program. Integrating both perspectives favours the consideration of emotions Integrating both perspectives favors the consideration of emotions in the education of emotionally intelligent leadership. It also indicates the importance of adopting different different educational strategies in different countries/universities, considering the key role of the dimensions Use of Emotion and Self-awareness, as well as the need to promote the education of interpersonal competencies that are currently underdeveloped compared to intrapersonal competencies. |
