| Sumario: | This paper deals with the description of the micromammals (Rodentia, Lagomorpha, lnsectivora and Chiroptera) of 24 localities (of which 13 are new) from the Guadix-Baza basin. These localities are the following: Cortijo de la Piedra, Pino Mojón a and b, Bacochas-1, Huéscar-3, Barranco de Quebradas-1, Cortes de Baza 1 and 6, Cañada de Murcia, Puerto Lobo, Huéscar-1 and Cúllar de Baza-1 in the Eastern zone of the basin, and Gorafe A, Rambla del Conejo-3, Cortijo del Muro, Barranco de Cañuelas 2, 3 and 5, Huélago 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and Cortijo de Tapia-1 in the Western zone. Ten Cricetidae, two Trilophomyidae, two Sciuridae, four Gliridae, one Castoridae, fourteen Muridae, eleven Arvicolidae, seven Lagomorph, five Insectivorous and one Chiroptera taxa are described. The biostratigraphical record of these fauna ranges from the Late Miocene (13 MN unit) to the Middle Pleistocene (Biharian), in the Eastern zone, from the lower Pliocene (14 MN unit) to the early Villafranchian in the Western zone. |
