| Resumo: | Francesc Fontanella wrote seventy-seven love poems dedicated to Gileta, the pseudonym used for Maria Teresa Ham, and these are generally grouped together under the title giletes. They make up the part of the writer’s work that has had the widest reach in the manuscript tradition, and three of these important manuscripts even have their own cover. The research has three principal parts: firstly, the critical edition of the poems; in second place,the study, including the receipt (even the imitations), the literary sources, models and influences and the analysis of the meaning of the verses; and finally, the dissemination of the research. The fundamental aim of the thesis is to study the giletes in order to reclaim their prevailing place within the Catalan Modern literature. |
