We measured clumped isotopes using a Kiel IV-Thermo Scientific MAT 253 at ETH Zürich, following the LIDI protocol (Müller et al., 2017; doi:10.1002/rcm.7878), including a Porapak Q trap (-40 °C) to eliminate residual halo/hydrocarbon and reduced sulfur compounds. Nine to 21 replicates of ~110 μg carbonate were measured depending on sample availability. Carbonate standardization followed the use of carbonate standard scheme (I-CDES (InterCarb carbon dioxide equilibrium scale; LIDI protocol (Bernasconi et al., 2021; doi:10.1029/2020GC009588)).
