Resumo:Gender, the term often used to discuss the effects of sexual differences in cultural, social and political configurations, has become increasingly conflicted. This article touches on this development, and then returns to women as the touchstone of sexual difference in translation studies, reviewing historic achievements of feminisms in translation and analyzing/proposing new scholarly directions.
