In the top, sedimentary breccias have been developed. In it there are blocks, some ones hectometric and even bigger, of Triassic to Tertiary age, most of them of Subbetic origin. Moreover there are other blocks showing a low to very low metamorphic degree, probably developed during the late Burdigalian, when the pressure of the Betic Internal Zone destroyed the Subbetic Basin and cause the cited metamorphism. This pressure provoked a diapiric-tectonic process, with the ensuing formation of the olistostrome. A later phase of compression, occurred during the late Miocene, partially remobilized the «Trías of Antequera» and, among other features, formed the folds visible in the upper breccias, which on the whole show an arch, adapted to the general shape of the Subbetic units situated to the South.[ES] El «Trías de Antequera», enraizado bajo el Subbético Medio y en parte bajo el Interno, está compuesto por dos conjuntos principales: una mélange tectónica en la que existen grandes bandas de materiales tectonizados, sobre todo yesos, y, generalmente encima, un olistostroma muy desarrollado. Por encima de ambos se formó una brecha sedimentaria. En él existen bloques, algunos de tamaños hectométricos y aun mayores, de edad triásica a terciaria, la mayoría de origen Subbético. Hay además un conjunto de bloques que presentan metamorfismo de grado muy bajo, posiblemente desarrollado durante el Burdigaliense superior, cuando el empuje de la Zona Interna destruyó la cuenca subbética. Estos empujes a la vez dieron lugar a un proceso diapírico-tectónico que condujo a la formación del olistostroma.
