| Sumario: | The present work investigates the current state of linguistic attitudes towards Spanish in the Valencian Community with the aim of understanding the perception of its degree of correctness, prestige, and standardization in comparison to other peninsular varieties. Taking into account the language contact situation between Spanish and Valencian Catalan, which varies across the territory and among different generations, the questionnaire is complemented with sociolinguistic questions that constitute the study variables subjected to statistical significance. Speakers from the Valencian Community highlight their variety of Spanish as one of the most prestigious and closest to the standard among the rest of peninsular varieties, and those who use Valencian Catalan in the family domain are more in agreement that the youth of the Valencian Community speak Spanish better than their parents and grandparents. On the other hand, it is the younger speakers (18-35 years) who identify more with bilingual and Valencian-speaking profiles. Women identify more with bilingual and Spanish-speaking profiles, and among those who define themselves as Valencian speakers, men predominate.
