| Resumo: | This article analyses Franco's repression in the field of education, specifically in relation to professionals in educational centres linked to the University of Salamanca. Our study is based on the investigation of the purge reports linked to the aforementioned university during the period of the Spanish Civil War. The results obtained allow us to outline the different characteristics linked to the reprisals. We have found the existence of a generalised method that sought to remove from their jobs teachers who were not sympathetic to the regime. It is also noteworthy that the procedures studied are based on a criminal law of perpetrators which denied their victims effective judicial protection. |
