| Sumario: | The analysis of conception and legitimacy to social welfare policy and in particular to cash transfers, given by Frente Amplio (FA) is the object of this article. Based on secondary sources, the analysis focuses on 2024 election period and at government beginning in 2025. Documents prepared for the electoral campaign and at government beginning and speeches given by the FA presidential candidate, then converted in Presidente, and Social Development Minister, were studied. Neither assistance policy nor monetary transfers have any relevance in the analyzed material. Important problems persist in legitimizing assistance, are observed, as well as absence reflections about income guarantee and social protection in current labor markets. |
