| Sumario: | Thanks to advances and new technologies, today there is a wide range of equipment and systems which force the clinician to innovate through digital technology in dentistry. Currently, the processes from intraoral diagnosis and exploration to the execution of complex restorative dental treatments are being achieved with increasing accuracy thanks to digital systems. These sequences, ranging from image acquisition to materialization (CAD / CAM), require the study of their accuracy in each of their processes. By acquiring an intraoral image, a digital file is obtained in STL format, which can be exported in different resolutions. The meshes obtained from the files can be analyzed so that the accuracy of the intraoral scanner can be determined, this in turn will be described by two forms of measurement and it is the precision and veracity, which will help determine if your result is close to or equal to the actual dimensions of the object being scanned... |
