Sapientia Technological, 6(1), 41–61. https://doi.org/10.58515/035RSPT2737-6400https://dspace.ube.edu.ec/handle/123456789/2353URL: https://sapientiatechnological.aitec.edu.ec/index.php/rst/article/view/117/253El objetivo de esta comunicación busca investigar el impacto de la plataforma Educaplay en el rendimiento académico y la motivación de los estudiantes de décimo año en la asignatura de Ciencias Naturales, específicamente en los contenidos de Biología y Química A través de la implementación de un enfoque mixto, que incluye la recolección de datos cuantitativos mediante encuestas y cualitativos a través de entrevistas y observaciones en el aula, se evaluó cómo las actividades diseñadas en Educaplay favorecen la comprensión de conceptos clave y fomentan la participación activa de los estudiantes. Los resultados, obtenidos a partir del análisis de los instrumentos aplicados, revelan que el uso de esta plataforma educativa mejora el rendimiento académico, sino que también incrementa la motivación y el compromiso de los estudiantes con el proceso de aprendizaje. Se lograron identificar mejores prácticas para la integración efectiva de Educaplay en el plan de estudios del décimo año, destacando la importancia de un diseño centrado en el estudiante, la gamificación y la retroalimentación continua para maximizar los resultados educativos.
