Descripción
Sumario:Th e present manuscript is a philosophical and literary analysis about death, one of the issues of greatest concern throughout the history of mankind. Not in vain authors like Goethe, Nietszche, Cervantes, Tolstoi, Saramago and many others, have highlighted in their writings the fatal circumstance. Every culture has a place for death and in its way seeks to interpret or understand it, but above all they have tried to avoid it or at least prolong its arrival. Currently, thedebate on death is focused on the limits and scope of technology, passing through bioethical and cultural considerations, where concepts such as: euthanasia, assisted suicide, palliative care, therapeutic obstinacy and terminal patient rights are a necessary concern of the medical profession and for certain legislations. Dignifi ed death is a fundamental right of every human being.
