Resumo:Abstract: Contemporary Ecuadorian televisión carries several stigmas regarding its content. From that starting point, it has been difficult to establish their logis and relationship with the public. However, by making a through review of some of the most popular shows and its narrative qualities, we will be able to find significant links with the history of literature. This paper is part of an ongoing investigation that seeks meeting points, both in form and in depth, among some popular ecuadorian tv shows and William Skakespeare´s work. This approach will detect the authors inevitable influence in the representation of love, popular behavior or power. As a result, it will also encourage to bring down the prejudices that still remain about ecuadorian tv shows.
