It brings to mind the poetics of the impossible that are revealed in Samuel Beckett's dialogue with the painting of Bram van Velde.La experiencia de la melancolía ha sido largamente explorada por la literatura, el arte, la antropología, la iconología, gracias a lo cual es posible hablar de las imágenes de la melancolía en Occidente. Pero, por otras vías del pensamiento y de la creación, también es factible redescubrir las luminosas formas de lo que podemos denominar melancolía de la imagen, literaria y pictórica, la misma que anuncia la presencia de lo no discursivo y la inanidad del yo en la Modernidad.
