Sitesize y Acció Cultural Metropolitana hacen referencia al caso del Jardí de l’Amistat y el proyecto de su recuperación a partir de la una visión histórica del lugar y una acción de diseño urbano comunitario. Los tres textos se publicaron originalmente en el dossier titulado “El Jardí de l’amistat”, en el Número 188 de la revista Quadern de les idees, les arts i les lletres de Sabadell, Barcelona para difundir los resultados del taller del mismo nombre realizado a principio de 2012 en L’Estruch || Fàbrica de Creació de les Arts en Viu de Sabadell por los colectivos Sitesize y Acció Cultural Metropolitana, en colaboración con el historiador Eduard Masjuan, entre otros. AbstractRecognising the capacities of urban green spaces for habitat rehabilitation, - whether these spaces are designed and planned, or whether they are self-managed by the community - this text gives an overview of the history and theories regarding the inclusion of nature in the city as a means of making cities more sustainable and humane. Anna Recasens reflects upon the social dimension of urban green spaces as spaces of participation and common commitment. Sitesize and Acció Cultural Metropolitana make reference to the case of Jardí de l’Amistat and its recovery project, which takes an historical view of place, and which is developing a process of participatory urban design.
