This work analyzes the different anti-communists meetings of the Inter-American Confederation for the Defense of the Continent, and the congresses held by the Latin American Anti-Communist Confederation since May 1954. It focuses on Guatemalan participation, its ideological postulates and some of its actions carried out under these contexts. From the hemerographic, archival and documentary review, two moments of structuring of political praxis are noted among the militants of these groups who, in their struggle against communism, passed through the dispute to obtain political power in the 1950s and 1960s to the implementation of counterinsurgency strategies in the 1970s and early 1980s. Likewise, the figure of Mario Sandoval Alarcón (1923-2003) and his process of configuration as the leader of anti-communism stand out, to show the crossovers and transfers of knowledge between the members of these leagues and the mechanisms used in their interconnections. |

A la par, subrayo la participación guatemalteca, sus postulados ideológicos y algunas de sus acciones realizadas bajo estos contextos. A partir de la revisión hemerográfica, archivística y documental, se advierten dos momentos de estructuración de praxis políticas entre los militantes de estas agrupaciones que, en su lucha contra el comunismo, transitaron desde la disputa por obtener el poder político en las décadas de 1950 y 1960 hasta la implementación de estrategias contrainsurgentes en las décadas de 1970 y principios de 1980. Asimismo, destaco la figura de Mario Sandoval Alarcón (1923-2003) y su proceso de configuración como líder del anticomunismo, para mostrar los entrecruces y transferencias de conocimientos entre los miembros de estas ligas y los mecanismos utilizados en estas interconexiones.Este trabalho apresenta as diferentes reuniões, de caráter anticomunista, iniciadas em maio de 1954 em torno da Confederação Interamericana de Defesa do Continente e os congressos realizados pela Confederação Anticomunista Latino-Americana. Ao mesmo tempo, ressalto a participação guatemalteca, seus postulados ideológicos e algumas das suas ações realizadas nesses contextos. Desde revisão hemerográfica, arquivística e documental, são notados dois momentos da estruturação da praxis política entre os militantes desses grupos que, em sua luta conta o comunismo, passaram da disputa pela obtenção do poder política nas décadas de 1950 e 1960 até a implementação de estratégias de contrainsurgência na década de 1970 e início da década de 1980.
