It has two large sections:  the first is an account of the study of the emblematic and the second is an analysis of the emblematic content of Andrés Cassard’s Manual de Masonería. El presente trabajo busca delinear puentes entre las relaciones discursivas del emblema, la referencia y el fenómeno simbólico masónico. El objetivo ‒desde la historia cultural, la historia del arte y la semiótica‒ es reflexionar sobre los procesos de integración y resistencia con las tradiciones esotéricas, en testimonios como libros de emblemas, liturgias y manuales francmasónicos, a partir del acervo Iberoamericano.
