From a methodological point of view, it is supported by two main references: Discourse Analysis and the History of Concepts, aiming at a historical-semantic approach.O presente artigo busca explorar algumas nuances do anticlericalismo maçom no Brasil da segunda metade do século XIX, tendo como enfoque o período da Questão Religiosa (1872 – 1875). Para tanto, assume como objeto de estudo as formulações discursivas presentes em dois dos principais jornais maçons então editados no Brasil: o Boletim do Grande Oriente do Brazil (1871-1899) e o Boletim do Grande Oriente Unido e Supremo Conselho do Brazil (1873-1877).
