On having made our selves the tour we realize that the publications that treat directly the subject matter are scanty and tend to be summaries of prose and verse, without accompaniment of specific analyses that help to value the above mentioned manifestations. It is evident that the vision folklorist has prevailed throughout many years specifically in the publications realized by Honduran, doing still today his incursions in the way of understanding the cultural manifestations, principally the popular culture.  El presente trabajo trata de hacer un recorrido por las publicaciones realizadas en Honduras que recopilan y refieren elementos de la tradición oral. No es un trabajo exhaustivo. No hace juicios de valor sobre cada una las publicaciones, pero sí de manera general sobre el punto de vista que sobre éstas ha prevalecido, específicamente las realizadas por hondureños. Al hacer el recorrido nos damos cuenta que las publicaciones que tratan directamente la temática son escasas y tienden a ser recopilaciones de prosa y verso, sin acompañamiento de análisis específicos que ayuden a valorar dichas manifestaciones.
