Descripción
Sumario:The present paper analyses the main works of Johann Joachim Winckelmann as a systematic reflection on the question of translation, understood not in its current sense, as the transposition of a text into a foreign language, but in its amplified meaning, as transposition of a time into another, a medium into another, or a culture into another. The author will try to demonstrate that these translating procedures aimed at making Antiquity appears to Modemity as if alive.
