| Sumario: | This present paper aims to analyze the scientific production about Altmetrics indexed to Science Web Database, under the altmetric tools wich is employed or mentioned in scientific papers. This is an exploratory and descriptive research, based on bibliometric contributions. The results revealed that Altmetrics.com is the most employed and / or mentioned altmetric tool in the studies whilst the most employed and / or mentioned information sources for obtaining altmetric indicators were Mendeley, Twitter, ResearchGate and Facebook. However, metric studies also emerge from other information sources related to social media, increasing the tracking possibilities on the web regarding the research results repercussion. The scientific production on Altmetry has focused both on theoretical studies that are important for the strengthing of the area as well as on applied studies that support the direction of this approach. It is concluded that the literature has approached tangentially the altmetric tools, which denotes the need for investment in this subject. |
