Resumo:For Hannah Arendt, the natality is a category of political significance inherent in the human condition. Due to the category of natality, we possess the ability to be able to get something spontaneously. The direction given by Arendt action to the word, therefore is ontologically rooted in the natality. Political action is conceived as a new birth. We were born when we act together, ie, joint action is a kind of political birth. Arendt makes use of Augustine’s philosophy in order to reinterpret their view of natality. The action adopted by Arendt in relation to the Augustinian conception natality walks to transpose this category for the field of political philosophy.
