Resumo:The Macri administration (2015-2019) came into government with the promise of reducing to zero export duties for commodities in general and agricultural commodities in particular, which earned him the support of the majority of rural entrepreneurs. However, the policy of export duties on agricultural commodities, after an initial reduction, turned out to be similar to the one that was historically governed in Argentina. This work describes the ups and downs of the administration in terms of agrarian policy in general, and export rights in particular, debating the underlying reasons that prevented the government from carrying out its commitment. The analysis exposes the limits to the privilege of the agrarian bourgeoisie and the landowners as a class fraction in the alliance that supported Cambiemos and the structural restrictions of the political process that macrismo embodied.
