| Summary: | The article analyzes the intersection between quilombola community, female leadership, and ethnic identity, focusing on the role of women in cultural preservation. Utilizing a literature review of six dissertations from Bahia, the research highlights the importance of female leadership for the autonomy and cultural resistance of quilombolas. Women are fundamental in social mobilization and rights advocacy, strengthening ethnic identity and promoting practices of sustainability and empowerment. The results show that valuing female experiences and knowledge is vital for the preservation of quilombola culture and the construction of a more just society. The study concludes by emphasizing the need to include female voices in decision-making processes, highlighting that women's leadership is essential for the continuity and strengthening of quilombola communities. Thus, the role of female leaders is revealed not only in terms of identity but also in positive social and environmental impact. |
