| Resumo: | The present work seeks to synthesize historical, cultural, socio-economic, landscape-environmental and formal urban information from the city of Prados in Minas Gerais. As it is a small municipality, it would be, at first, out of the obligation guidelines related to the drafting of the Master Plan Law. The experimental methodological process adopted by the research is supported by the geographic-sociological urban theoretical approach supported by historiography, urban morphology, socio-environmental, legislative data based on data produced by nationally recognized research institutions such as the João Pinheiro Foundation and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
