| Summary: | The article is the result of qualitative research developed with students from the National Program of Education in Agrarian Reform – PRONERA – of the course on Geography of Earth, Water and Forests “Ulisses Manaças”, within the scope of post-doctoral studies. It analyzes the repercussion of the aforementioned public policy as the right to education and the territory and its main challenges in the face of the extermination of the Program in the Bolsonaro Government. The methodology used to raise the profile of the students, the recreation of peasant territories in the Amazon and the repercussion of the education of the students was based on bibliometric analysis, qualitative research, a semi-structured questionnaire and conversation circles. It is concluded that the PRONERA course, based on the principles of Rural Education, above all, with the guarantee of alternation, allows the resistance of students in their territories, with class consciousness and the production model in defense of agroecology and family agriculture and raising the level of awareness against the destruction of the environment and of the agribusiness that is advancing on the Amazon region, provoking the organization of students in defense of their territories and their own survival |
