Descrição
Resumo:In our study, we assume the fundamental assumptions of Design Visual Grammar - GDV (KRESS & VAN LEEUWEN, 2006). To check the links between the verbal and visual semiosis, we elected the social cognitivism, from which we propose a resizing of the analyzes effected in Textual Linguistics (LT). We compare some studies on multissemiosis and articulate the theory of multimodality with reading comprehension. We have analyzed a short film, Maria Life, by Márcio Ramos, produced in computer graphics. The results lead us to believe that any educational practice which involves reading comprehension will be effective if supported by a social cognitivist conception of language. With this research, we consider important that language teachers, responsible for educating citizens and hence critical readers also address a multimodal analysis of the texts, particularly the dynamic as videos, since this genre is so present in our daily lives and in the school context.
