| Sumario: | The article deals with the continuity of mathematics teaching between secondary and higher levels. In particular, it analyzes the relationships between elementary mathematics and Differential and Integral Calculus - CDI. To this end, it uses documents from the APUA – Ubiratan D'Ambrosio Personal Archive, taking the work “Introduction to Calculus”, written by Nicolau and Ubiratan D'Ambrosio in the 1970s. It concludes, after analyzing the relationship between elementary mathematics and the elements of calculus included in the book, that the work constituted a precursor proposal for subjects created later, in undergraduate courses in Mathematics, with a view to preparing for the CDI. |
