Sumario:The shoreline of Espírito Santo shows a rich and poorly investigated biodiversity, hence, it becomes important the conduction of detailed surveying about its marine fauna, in order to fight and minimize possible future or ongoing impacts arising from the Fundão dam failure, in particular, the Urussuquara beach, one of the last places reached by the contaminant plume originated at the Fundão dam of Mariana-MG. Thus, the surveying of marine mammals was performed by the method of Carcass Prospecting and Expedition and Observation method and concluded that there is a negative effect on the species that live in this region due to the dam’s failure and other anthropogenic activities.
